He works as a lyricist, composer, arranger, vocalist and guitarist across band projects and commercial music production, and is also active as a Vocaloid producer and singer.

As a member of PICK2HAND, he won a national competition hosted by a musical instrument retailer. A demo tape he had made found its way to YOSHIKI of X JAPAN, who was impressed by his music and reached out. Following his time with YOSHIKI’s Extasy Japan, he made his major-label debut with Universal Music.

He later formed KELUN. After a period as an independent band, KELUN made its major-label debut with SME Records, with him writing lyrics and music and serving as vocalist and guitarist. The band released tracks including “SIGNAL,” an ending theme for the TV anime Gintama, and “CHU-BURA,” an opening theme for BLEACH.

After the band went on hiatus, he began working in game audio. His production work spans background music, sound effects, sound direction, voice recording and vocal recording. He also composes and arranges under the name juvenile, creating music for games, anime, radio and commercials.

In 2024, he stepped up his work as a Vocaloid producer under the name 陽澄リョウ. Alongside releasing original songs, he is also active as a singer. He creates and releases both music using synthesized vocals and songs sung in his own voice, continuing his work as both a creator and a singer.

In 2026, he placed 18th in the TOP100 at VocaColle Summer and 22nd in the TOP100 at Utacolle Autumn. He also collaborates with other creators: at Collabo Collection, six works he contributed to entered the rankings, with three reaching the TOP10.

He currently sings and plays guitar in INSIDE ME, his band with bassist Kiyoshi. He continues his band activities alongside making and singing music as 陽澄リョウ and his commercial music production. INSIDE ME returns to the stage in autumn 2026.

Kiyoshi is a nickname. She studied piano from childhood and picked up the bass at 15. To deepen her understanding of instrument construction, she undertook specialized studies at a guitar-building school, where she later also taught. After playing in bands in the Kansai region, she moved to Tokyo in 2009.

Alongside her own work as an artist, she has played as a supporting musician for artists in Japan and abroad, including B'z, Marty Friedman, Juichi Morishige / ZIGGY and Kenji Hayashida, taking part in numerous tours and recording sessions.

She has toured with Marty Friedman since 2015.

She played the bassist Onihime in the film TOO YOUNG TO DIE！若くして死ぬ, written and directed by Kankuro Kudo and released in June 2016.

In August 2016, she became the first rock bassist in Japan to sign an endorsement deal with Warwick. That September, she gave a solo performance at an event at Warwick’s headquarters in Germany.

In September 2016, she released her first solo album, KIYOSHI, launching her solo career in earnest. Her music is built primarily from multitracked bass, and she performs every part except live drums. She produces every aspect of her work herself, from composition, lyrics, arrangements, instrumental performance and vocals to design and video.

She has toured with B'z since 2022.

She primarily plays five-string bass. Her distinctive style, shaped by a wide range of musical influences, and her assured technique have earned the trust of many fellow musicians. Her powerful slap technique is a particular highlight. Her ferocious live performances defy expectations of a female bassist, and her commanding presence on stage is one of a kind.
